XALOC (BL13): MX beamline in ALBA • Control • Control of the beamline based in TANGO/Python • Generic client is needed (SPEC or Matlab Middle Layer) • ...but alternative to SPEC is being considered (SPOCK) • Plans to use MxCuBe for experiment control (from day 1) • Plans to use EDNA to pipeline data processing (from day 1) • Plans to use IsPyB for sample management (from day 1?) • Axes • Single, horizontal axis being considered as a default diffractometer • Plans to insert mini-kappa when required • Colisions are a major concern • End-station • One table support diffractometer and beam conditioning elements • One table supports only the detector • Condit. elements are stacked in different vacuum vessels • Sample mounting robot considered
