  1. Microsoft x-box 360 Microsoft x-box 360 is a next gen games console. Its games include The Halo series and gears of war series.

  2. Microsoft and X-Box 360 • Microsoft is an American company made up of 1000s of jobs including programmers, designers and artists. Microsoft is responsible for inventing the x-box 360 and multiple computer systems, devices and online and offline services. • The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005 as the successor to the original X-box. • It was the first ever next gen console that was released to the public. • In 2009, IGN named the Xbox 360 the sixth greatest video game console of all time, out of a field of 25. • Microsoft chose the X-box 360 because it uses the feature Direct-x and it's supposed to include 360 degrees of entertainment: games, movies, music, etc. • Microsoft also wanted to avoid the name X-box 2 as 360 sounds bigger, better and more advanced and stylish.

  3. Products/services. • The x-box 360 offers many services and features which are easy to use and allows anyone unfamiliar with X-Box 360 to easily pick up and play. • Owners of a 360 are able to customise their very own avatars with clothes and accessories. • They are able to play 1000s of games including the best of the best such as the Mass effect series and the 360 exclusive famous Halo series. • Players are able to watch movies, TV channels such as sky plus and ITV. • The players who own wireless internet are able to download movies, DLC (downloadable content) games and many music related features.

  4. X-box 360 has the largest and some of the best collection of games in its library. Many games have received very positive reviews from critics. • Many of the games have even influenced fans enough to spawn planned movie interpretations. • Many of the games have influenced pop culture and created many fans in many countries.

  5. Brand X-Box 360 uses a lot of bright clean light and dark greens and whites as its chosen colours. It also uses a range of patterns and images such as lines, rainbows and shadows of teenagers doing sports and posing. As sometimes less is more PS3 has its own chosen simple colours which are black and silver which attract audiences, X-Box 360 did something different.

  6. Microsoft's console does the alternative by attracting audiences with its variety. • It uses patterns in its design like swirls, deep and in depth colours and even different colours for the many buttons on the controller. X-box 360s are geared towards hardcore gamers which is evident by leader boards, gamer tags and achievement features.

  7. Existing types/styles of advertising • Microsoft uses a lot of teenagers in their ads being really excited and playing sports. • Avatars are used quite frequently as mascots in advertising as well as the ability to interact with them.

  8. X-Box 360 has been advertised on TV, internet including YouTube, social websites, Billboards, Buses and magazines.
