Bachelor of Business (Applied) Work Integrated Learning Courses • 2080GBS Applied Practice Introductory Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course assisting in preparation for the successful completion of the more advanced WIL courses. • 3081GBS Applied Management Project Extensive project within a business organisation. Must be completed as part of the Management major. • 3082GBS Applied Marketing Project Extensive project within a business organisation. Must be completed as part of the Marketing major. Bachelor of Commerce (Prof) v Bachelor of Commerce (Accelerated) Three Trimesters (i.e. teaching periods) per year • BCom (Professional) • 1st year: full time study • 2nd and 3rd year: part time study + 3-4 day per week paid internship (typical) • Students must attend Professional Development Weeks • Students must attain a GPA of 5.0 in their first year to be eligible for an internship • BCom (Accelerated) • 1st year: full time • 2nd year: full time • Students strongly encouraged to attend Professional Development Weeks Dr Campbell Fraser, Griffith Business School

Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) Degree Outline • Complete 24 courses over three years – six semesters (full time) • Complete one BCom major • Complete 240CP of courses (24 courses - 10CP per course) according to these requirements. • Maximum 30CP of courses with a grade of PC (Pass Conceded). • For Accounting accreditation, maximum 20CP of PC (10CP for accounting major courses – which there are 10 courses) • Minimum 60CP of third year level courses. Third year courses are courses that are coded with a ‘3’ (For example 3101AFE) • Maximum 100CP at first year level Dr Campbell Fraser, Griffith Business School

For example: • Economics • Management • Marketing • Information Technology • Accounting and Financial Planning • Students do most of these courses in your first year.
