Weekly Journal Expectations • Journal Expectations ***This entry should appear for every clinical day!! • Unit Name • Date & arrival time • Full name and title of assigned staff member • Points are awarded for what you observed • Departure time • I will sign off on your journal before you get on the bus • Downtime Questions – ***What you can ask the staff if time permits • Why do you like about your job? • What is the best moment that you can remember about your career? • What do you like least about your job? • How many years of education are required? • Which school(s) do you recommend? • Are there many advancement opportunities?

List signs, symptoms, potential treatments, prognosis(disease outcome). • Name one healthcare professional that works on this specific unit (example-RN, Radiology tech) and describe the type of education ( degree) and/ or certification required to work in this area. If a certification is required– how often must it be renewed. 4. Describe at least one positive and one negative experience that you had during this observation.
