  1. WELCOME TO7TH GRADE GENERAL MUSIC with MRS. SCHOPPE

  2. Class Room Rules • Follow directions the first time • Raise your hands to talk • Show respect for teacher, classmates, & equipment • Save food & drinks for later • Come to class prepared and on time • Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

  3. Consequences • Warning • Loss of participation point • Loss of additional participation point; parents will be called; referral or detention • Severe consequences SEVERE DISRUPTIONS: to office

  4. Your grade will be based on the following: • I will provide each of you with a folder, it will be left in the room everyday. You will be graded on the notes/worksheets in folders. • You will also need a pen/pencil every day • Daily Class Participation • Daily Effort • Tests, Quizzes, Presentations

  5. What will we learn about this trimester? • Dances • Watusi, Twist, Mashed Potato, etc. • You will compose a song of your own • Create Your own Instrument • A Famous Musical-West Side Story • Play Keyboard, Guitar, & Percussion • What would you like to learn about in music?

  7. I was born in a little tiny town; Whitewater, MT-about 200 people in the whole town • Went to college at MSU-Billings • Taught in Winnett, MT for 3 years • Got married; moved to Helena • This is my second year teaching at EVMS & EG
