  3. Annual Review Requirements • Conducted annually • Prepared in January • Presented to Treasurers in February – face to face meetings County Liaison Responsibility • Oversight of the Driver Process • Tracks progress and errors throughout the year • Ensures compliance

  5. County Issuance Staff Requirements Password/User ID Sharing • Prohibited from sharing passwords • Work must be done under own User ID

  6. Confidentiality and Security Awareness Driver Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) of 1994 • Federally Mandated under 18 U.S. Code § 2721 • Personal Information cannot be released to the public • Secure any documents containing personal information

Integrity State Issued Driver Licenses are a Breeder Document • Opens avenues for goods and services • Ability to open bank accounts, secure loans, board commercial aircrafts, purchase alcohol and tobacco, etc. • Ensuring identity is essential • Identity theft, sanctioned drivers sharing the road, etc. • 9-11 flight • Students boarded airplanes with state issued credentials, under false identities

Medical Reports • Driver has a medical condition which would impair their driving ability • Any medical condition that could affect the driver’s ability to control the vehicle safely • Specific conditions could be, but are not limited to • Loss of Consciousness • Loss of Voluntary Control • Epilepsy, Diabetes • Parkinson’s, Alzheimer's • Sleep Apnea, etc.

Vision Reports • Customer is unable to obtain an acceptable vision reading in the station, refer them to a vision specialist • Low vision customers requesting limited driving due to conditions such as • Macular Degeneration • Glaucoma • Retinal Detachment • Diabetic Retinopathy, etc.
