E911 Near Term Issues Focus Group 1: Enhanced 911 A. Near Term Issues Chair:Darold Whitmer Intrado Mission: Identify and recommend requirements regarding Accuracy Testing, consistent Phase I / II data display & common timing thresholds. Identify all major traffic concentration points in E911 architectures and specify the information that is to be sent to callers when major E911 network elements fail. Deliverables: December, 2004 April, 2005 December, 2005
E911 Long Term Issues Focus Group 1: Enhanced 911 B. Long Term Issues Chair:Jim Nixon T-Mobile Mission: Present a report recommending specific architecture properties that emergency communications networks are to provide by the year 2010 along with a generic network architecture that meets those properties. Deliverables: September, 2004 April, 2005 June, 2005 September, 2005 December, 2005
E911 Outages and Best Practices Focus Group 1: Enhanced 911 C. Outages and Best Practices Co-Chair: Nancy Pollock Metropolitan Minneapolis, MN Co-Chair: Robert Oenning State of Washington Mission:Analyze all outages related to E911, determine which Best Practices most clearly apply to E911 outages & present recommendations on ways to reduce E911 outages. Deliverables: September, 2004 April, 2005 June, 2005 December, 2005
PSAP/First Responder Communications Focus Group 1: Enhanced 911 D. PSAP / First Responder Communications Chair:RoxAnn Brown Metropolitan Government of Nashville Mission: Present a report defining the long term network requirements for transmitting emergency services information to emergency services personnel that is beyond the scope of E911 networks. Define the long term communication networks that shall be needed to transmit information from E911 calls to the Department of Homeland Security. Deliverables: December, 2004 September, 2005 December, 2005
Homeland Security - Infrastructure Focus Group 2: Homeland Security A. Infrastructure Chair:P.J. Aduskevicz AT&T Mission: Present a final report that describes, in detail, any additions, deletions, or modifications that should be made to the Homeland Security Best Practices that were adopted by the preceding Council. Deliverables: December, 2004 June, 2005 December, 2005
Homeland Security – Cyber Security Focus Group 2: Homeland Security B. Cyber Security Chair: Dr. Bill Hancock Savvis Mission: Present a final report that describes, in detail, any additions, deletions, or modifications that should be made to the Homeland Security Best Practices that were adopted by the preceding Council. Deliverables: December, 2004 June, 2005 December, 2005
Network Best Practices - Wireless Focus Group 3: Network Best Practices A. Wireless Networks Chair: Karl Rauscher Lucent Mission: Evaluate the efficacy of all Best Practices that have been developed for the wireless industry. Perform a gap analysis and refine or modify, as appropriate, Best Practices developed by previous Councils Deliverables: December, 2004 April, 2005 September, 2005
Network Best Practices – Public Data Focus Group 3: Network Best Practices B. Public Data Networks Chair: David Frigeri Internap Mission: Evaluate the efficacy of all Best Practices that have been developed for the public data network providers. Perform a gap analysis and refine or modify, as appropriate, Best Practices developed by previous Councils. Deliverables: December, 2004 April, 2005 September, 2005
Broadband Focus Group 4: Broadband Chair: Mary Retka Qwest Mission: Present recommendations to increase the deployment of high-speed residential Internet access service including Best Practices and service features that are, and will be, technology-neutral. Deliverables: December, 2004 June, 2005 December, 2005
