  3. LODGING All the students are housed in modern, winterized dorms. Adult chaperones sleep in the same facilities as the students. The students are supervised by adults twenty-four hours a day. Evacuation procedures will be reviewed in each dorm.

  4. Camp Leaders The adults watching over your children will include twenty-four chaperones and the staff from Camp Timber-Lee in addition to Mrs. McAvoy, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Highmark, Mr. Kohlhagen (or Mr. Graham), and Mr. Law.

  5. Health and Safety Camp Timber-Lee will have a nurse on-site for the entire outdoor educational experience. Please read the directions carefully in regard to medication dispersion.

  6. Prescription/Over-the-counter/Medication • Complete the medication form • Send medication in the original prescription container to the HES nurse (It will be returned at the end of the trip) • Send only the amount needed for • Sept. 23rd -25th

  7. Behavior Expectations Due to the amount of children participating in this experience, it is very important that you and your child discuss proper behavior that will be expected from him/her. If improper behavior is exhibited, we will not hesitate to phone the child’s parents and request that he/she be removed from the facility and taken home.

  8. Unexpected Situations In case of a more severe injury, Lakeland Hospital is the nearest 911 response unit. In the past, we have dealt with sleepwalking, allergies, bedwetting, etc… discretely and effectively.

  9. Transportation Students need to arrive at the regular starting time on Monday, September 23rd with their sleeping bag and luggage. Upon arrival, students will drop their bags in the appropriate line at the front of the building and go to the blacktop until school starts.

  10. We will return to school on Wednesday, September 25th at approximately 2:00 p.m. Students will be dismissed upon our arrival, if parents are available to pick them up. You may want to arrange a ride for your child to school on Monday and home from school on Wednesday, as riding the bus or walking with their “stuff” may be difficult. Transportation

  11. Mailing Address If you would like to send a letter to your child, you need to mail it at least one week prior to your child’s departure.
