  1. Planning Location, Props, Costume, Actors.

  2. I'm going to set my music video in the location of New Brighton beach. It’s a free open space, with pretty and different areas for backgrounds and settings. This is a stereotypical setting for a indie music video. Location

  3. For parts of my music video, I plan to use the green screen. I will use these shots for the artist. Doing a some medium and close up shots, this part of the music video I want to just show the artist performing, and singing direct to the camera. Florence welch, from the band Florence and the machine has used green screen in their music video. This will make my music video more believable as I try to portray the artist and develop upon her previous work. Green Screen

  4. Florence welch is well known for her iconic style. She mainly is seen at events and when performing in long elegant dresses; The artist is very glamorous. For my music video I will take inspiration from the artist and dress my actor in a long chiffon dress. When performing I will get my actor to use the costume, holding and swaying it round just as she does. costume

As I'm trying to recreate Florence Welch's look, I will show both sides of her style, for the series of green screen shots I will show the more rock glamour side of her, will dark Smokey eye make up, then show a more minimal natural look in the shots set at New Brighton. My actor has blonde hair, however I will still take on the style of Florence's hair, by styling it in a middle part, and with a wavy look. Makeup / Hair

  6. For my music video, I've chosen an actors who are 18 years of age. I felt this would reflect better upon my target audience of 16-20years old. For the narrative part of my video, chose a female actor to play the role of the young girl running away from home; I will also be in the music video at the end as the ‘close’ friend of the girl. I selected an actor to play the artist who was confident, and would portray the character of Florence Welch well. actors
