  16. Fundamental Beliefs of Islam By Muhammad Imran

  17. Topics covered • Fundamental beliefs of islam • Tauheed and its brief introduction • Tauheed dawah of every prophet • Shirk • Effects of Tauheed on human life

  18. The Basics of Faith • Tauheed-Belief in One God (Allah) • Belief in Prophethood • All the Divine Books as revealed by God to various prophets • Angels, • Life after Death and the Day of Judgment

  19. Tauheed(Oneness of All mighty Allah) • Tauheedis the first and main principle of Islamic faith. • It means that Allah is the Supreme, the Creator, Sustainer and Master of the universe, the highest authority and exclusively worthy of worship. • ‘‘There is no one to be worshiped except Allah and Muhammad PBUH is the prophet of Allah.’’

  20. Tauheed • Allah is one in attributes: Every thing in this universe is mortal and transitory except Allah. Every thing is dependent on Allah for his necessities of life but Allah is independent of all. • Allah is one in Actions: His oneness in actions means that no one can do or does the works which Allah has done or does or which Allah will do in future. For example Allah has created this entire universe, all living things on earth, rivers and mountains, but no human being or other creature can do it. • Allah is the Sole Creator: The vast Universe with its flawless system indicates that there is one creator and one controller.

  21. Tauheed • Literally Tauheedmeans • "unification" (making something one) or • "asserting (claim) oneness", and • From the Arabic verb(wahhada) which itself means to unite, unify or consolidate. • When the term Tauheedis used in reference to Allah, • means realizing and maintaining of Allah's unity in all of man's actions which directly or indirectly relate to Him. • It is the belief that Allah is One, • without partner in His authority and His actions (Ruboobeeyah), • One without resemblancein His essence and attributes (AsmaawaSifaat)

  22. Types of Attributes of Allah (Tauheed) Allah Ikhlas:112/1-4 Luqman:31/27 Guardian Quresh 3-4 Ruler

  23. Belif in Allah means • Belief in One-ness • Tauheed ar-Ruboobeeyah (Maintaining the unity of lordship) • Tauheed al –Asmaa was-Sifaat(Maintaining the Unity of Allah’s names and Attributes). • Tauheed al-Ebaadah (Maintaining The Unity of Worship)

  24. TauheedAr- Ruboobeeyah • In Arabic the word used to describe this creator-sustainer quality is Ruboobeeyah which is derived from the root "Rabb" (Lord). • This category is based on the fundamental concept that Allah alone caused all things to exist when there was nothing; • He sustains and maintains creation.

  25. Evidence from Quran and Sunnah Allâh is the Creator of all things and He is the Wakîl (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian, etc.) over all things The Prophet (saws) further elaborated on this concept saying, "Be aware that if the whole of mankind gathered together in order to do something to help you, they would only be able to do something for you which Allah had already written for you. Likewise, if the whole of mankind gathered together to harm you, they would only be able to do something to harm you which Allah had already written to happen to you"

  26. Tauheedal-Asmaawa-Sifaat For unity of Allah's names and attributes . .

  27. Tauheed al-'Ebaadah (Maintaining The Unity of Worship) "If you asked them who created them, they would surely say, Allah (43:87) You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything) All forms of worship must be directed only to Allah because He alone deserves worship, and it is He alone who can grant benefit to man as a result of His worship

  28. Al Ikhlas 1.      Say (O MUHAMMAD(P.B.U.H)): "He is Allâh, (the) One Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; "He begets not, nor was He begotten "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."

  29. SHIRK(POLYTHEISM) 48. Verily, Allâh forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allâh in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.

  30. Think...05 minutes Activitiy 1.Discuss about the fundamental beleifs of islam in a group of 2 or 3 students? 2.Tauheed means..................................? 3.Which word is opposite to Tauheed? 4.What is Tauheed? 5.What are the types of Tauheed? 6.The Holy Quran concidered as an unpardonable sin was called?

  31. Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allâh, then Allâh has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode.

  32. TAUHEED DAWAH OF EVERY PROPHET OF ALLAH

  33. DAWAH OF NOAH(A.S) O my people Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh: none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).

  34. DAWAH OF HUD(A.S) O my people Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (Lâilâha ill-Allâh: none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).

  35. DAWAH OF SHOIB(A.S) O my people Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (Lâilâha ill-Allâh: none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).

  36. DAWAH OF SALIH(A.S) O my people Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (Lâilâha ill-Allâh: none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).

  37. DAWAH OF SHOAIB(A.S) O my people Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (Lâilâha ill-Allâh: none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).

  38. DAWAH OFMUHAMMAD(P.B.U.H) Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "I am commanded only to worship Allâh (Alone) and not to join partners with Him.

  39. RATIONAL PROOF OF ALLAH Had there been therein (in the heavens and the earth) gods besides Allâh, then verily both would have been ruined. Glorified be Allâh, the Lord of the Throne, (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!

  40. RATIONAL PROOF OF ALLAH each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others!

  41. RATIONAL PROOF OF ALLAH Say (O Muhammad (p.b.u.h)to these polytheists, "If there had been other âliha(Gods) along with Him as they assert, then they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne (seeking His Pleasures and to be near to Him).

  42. EFFECTS OF TAUHEED ON HUMAN LIFE

  43. BROADMINDEDNESS • A believer in Tauheedcan never be narrow in outlook. He believes in a ALLAH Who is the Creator of the heavn. His vision is enlarged, his intellectual horizon widens, and his outlook becomes as liberal and as boundless as is the Kingdom of God.

  44. self-respect and self esteem This belief produces in man the highest degree of self-respect and self esteem. The believer knows that Allah alone is the Possessor of all power, and that none besides Him can benefit or harm a person, or provide for his needs. He never bows his head in homage to any of Allah's creatures, nor does he stretch out his hand before anyone else..

  45. Modesty and Humbleness Along with self-respect this belief also generates in man a sense of modesty and humbleness. A believer never becomes proud, haughty or arrogant. Because he knows that whatever he possesses has been given to him by ALLAH.He can take away just as He can give..

  46. Purityof soul and behavior This belief makes man virtuous and upright..This belief creates in him the consciousness that, unless he lives rightly and acts justly, he cannot succeed.

  47. satisfaction The believer never becomes despondent. He has a firm faith in ALLAH Who is Master of all the treasures of the earth and the heavens. This faith imparts to his heart extraordinary consolation, fills it with satisfaction and keeps it filled with hope.

  48. Patience and trust in ALLAH This belief produces in man a very strong degree of determination, patient perseverance and trust in ALLAH. When he makes up his mind and devotes his resources to fulfilling the Divine Commands in order to secure Allah's pleasure, he is sure that he has the support and backing of the Lord of the universe. This certainty makes him firm and strong like a mountain.
