  3. Killed small animals • Liked the sounds of bones rattling • Fascinated in dead bodies of animals • Got in trouble at school during recess for killing animals Childhood

  4. Lack of self confidence • Very deep, distant, and shy • Increasingly bad posture, often moped around purposeless and disengaged • Never diagnosed, but thought by his father that he was mentally insane Childhood

  5. Suspected that a move from Iowa to Ohio uprooted him from familiar settings • Parents divorced at age 18 • Alcoholic at a young age Precursors

  6. Not motivated to pursue any careers, education, or starting families • Convicted his first murder at 18 • Parents enrolled him in Ohio Sate University, but soon dropped out from excessive drinking • Forced to find a job or enroll in Armed Forces Early Adulthood

  7. Diagnosed as an alcoholic but never received treatment • Two years into Armed forces he was discharged for alcoholism • Was homosexual and did not marry or have children Adulthood

  8. Killing spree lasted 13 years • African American gay men • Had sex with the victim then murdered them • Lured into grandmothers basement with promise of money or sex Crime Nature

  9. Gave victims alcohol laced with drugs and strangle them • Have sex or masturbate on the dead body • Dismember and dispose the body keeping their genitals or skulls as souvegners • Killed 17 young men throughout killing spree • Used canibalism on some of his victims Crime Nature

  10. Arrested for convicting many crimes • Always compliant to the sentencing • Plead guilty for some rape charges, pleading that the 13 year old boy looked a lot older Behavior when caught

  11. 1981 Father forced him to move in with his grandmother because of a disorderly conduct charge involving alcohol • 1986 arrested for masturbating in front of two young boys and was put on a one year probationary charge • Very calm in court Behavior when caught

  12. Placed in bullet proof glass and steel in trial to isolate from the gallery • Courtroom swept for bombs and metal detectors were administrated • Tried to protect Dahmer as best they could because of how many people hated him Final Trial

  13. Plead that he was guilty but insane • Made the jury confused as to weather he could control his actions or not • Sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms or 957 years in prison • Charged for 15 murders Sentence

  14. Found in the toilet area next to the prison gym • Laying in blood • Massive head injuries • Broom stick found nearby • November 28th 1994 pronounced dead Life in prison
