  1. Tires Recycling TechnologyManufacture of rubber and metal powders Dr. Aleksandras Chepulis, the academician of International Academy of ecology, man and nature protection sciences. +(370)-(37)-209-390 Mob.  +(370)-652-452-67. chepulis@gmail.com or Skype name – chepulis2www.chepulistech.3dn.ru 2008

  2. Overview • Used Tires Problem (1 – 6) • Technology (7-13) • Final Disintegration Products (14-18) • THE CLEARING WATER AREAS FROM PETROLEUM PRODUCTS WITHAPPLICATION OF CHEPULIS` POWDER(19) • Variants of a raw rubber.(CHEPULIS` TECHNOLOGY). (20-28)

  3. Situational Analyzes • Global Problem. • The quantityof Post - Consumer tyres much more exceeds quantityof the advanced tyres. • NOW TECHNOLOGIES FOR FULL RECYCLING (ETRA) ARE NECESSARY. • Figure 1 Post - Consumer tyre

  4. TENDENCIES OF APPLICATION OF USED TYRES On data ETRA in 1992-2005 the application of the used tyres has sharply increased in the field of creation of new materialsfrom the advanced tyres . Processing of tyres has grown in 6 times. The market of products of processing extends. Burning of tyres has grown only in 2 times. Now burning is forbidden. The landfillof tyres has decreased in 6 times. Ecologically harmfully.

  5. TIRES RECYCLING IN THE WORLD From the advanced tyresin the world are only 11 % of the powders (up to 0,5mm) allowing in the best way to utilize tyres in useful materials.

  6. QUALITY OF RECYCLINGOF USED TYRESby Chepulis` method From the tyres advanced by Chepulis` method are 100 % of the powders (up to 0,5 mm)- сommodity product for creation of new products

  7. The raw rubber mix - important problem THE MIX OF STANDARD RAWRUBBER DIFFERENT NATURAL AND SYNTHETIC RUBBER BLACK CARBON AND TECHNICAL ADDITIVES The market dictates the tendency to replacement of these expensive and scarce components on the cheap powder received from post-consumer tyres. The important problem (for example, for Michelin)– to find an opportunity to add these powders in new tyre without loss of quality.

  8. Chepulis`Materials Recycling Technology • Patents:method of recycling, construction of equipment, rubber crumbs usage as adsorbent; • Method:A product with unique physical and chemical properties (either according to size or particle topology) could be created by using shock wave matter disintegration method with ultrasonic frequency impact on matter. • ECOLOGY: All materials are completely processed in a commodity product in the closed cycle (process has no waste products).

  9. Possible application for universal technology • Used Rubber Tires • Toxic Medical Waste • Waster of Domestic and Other Electric Appliance • Large Quantities of Domestic Waste • Scrap Metal • Used Vehicles • Organic Waste • Wood Waste • Used Paper Money

  10. Tire Recycling Line • Capacity – up to 3t/h or up to 10t/h • Energy usage30 kWh/t(all line 140 kWh/t) • Production space – 200 m2 • Warehouses – 300 - 500 m2 • Employees – from 10 up to 20

  11. Previous development 2001 - complex for “Rubber Tek” Ltd. St. Petersburg (Russia) Capacity up to 3t/h

  12. TYRES RECYCLING LINEwe offer manufacturing to order or partnership

  13. Tires Recycling Line(The author and owner of the Technology – Dr.Aleksandras Chepulis) Air flow Separators Universal feeding module Disintegrator 30% 58% 12% Metal Dust Rubber POWDER Suspension

  14. Final product • Rubber POWDER – ~58% • Separately ~ 1050mesh. Agglomerated~ 200mesh (diameterup to 0.5 mm). • Unique component for rubber products (for raw rubber). • Adsorbent for oil collection • Rubber powder after Chepulis` line have properties of regenerate. • Raw material for nanotechnology • Market price 200mesh 900 -> 3 500 EUR per ton

  15. Final products • Metal Dusts - ~ 30% • Diameter up to 0.1 mm • Product for the powder metallurgy. Marketup to2000,- EUR per ton

  16. Final products • Suspension - ~12% • Very small particles (e.g. fullerene) diffused in water • Component for paint

  17. VARIANTS OF A RAW RUBBER.(CHEPULIS` TECHNOLOGY). • THE HISTORY OF CREATION OF A RUBBER POWDER DETERMINES ITS PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES. • CHEPULIS` RUBBER POWDER HAS UNIQUE PROPERTIES. • THERE ARE MANY VARIANTS OF THE CREATIONS OF A RAW RUBBER WITH THIS POWDER. Model with a dense core and cluster agglomeration particles fringe. The data are confirmed with researches and certificates State Unitary Enterprise NIISK im. akad. S.V.Lebedeva, Russia ( Dr. S.K.Kurland).www.fgupniisk.ru

  18. THE CLEARING WATER AREAS FROM PETROLEUM PRODUCTS WITHAPPLICATION OF CHEPULIS` POWDER THERE IS THE WASTE PRODUCT - THE MIX AFTER CLEARING WATER AREAS FROM PETROLEUM PRODUCTS WITHAPPLICATION OF CHEPULIS` POWDER. THE WASTE PRODUCT CONSIST OF: • CHEPULIS` POWDER – 1PART. • PETROLEUM PRODUCTS – MORE THAN 10PARTS .
