Springer offered a two month trial period to Hungarian organizations with advanced scientific and education materials, including eBooks eReference Works SpringerImages SpringerMaterials – the Landolt-Börnstein Database SpringerProtocols zbMath BME - the Budapest University of Technology and Economics produced 109,215 downloads, that is 28% of all Hungarian downloads The trial period

  12. Statistics 1 • 107 330 downloads in 2 months • Downloads in all fields of science and technology

Statistics 2 • Lotka distribution in downloads statistics • The number of n times downloaded items over n fits to 1/n surpisingly well • Lotka distribution is typical all over in scientific literature • There were no-systematic download sessions • But indicates a weak correlation between individial download events
