  7. IEEE UCSD Projects • What? • IEEE UCSD Projects is the robotic competition division • Benefits? • Gain valuable hands on experience • Build an attractive resume • Travel to the competitions • Get to work with fellow IEEE members • No prior experience required !

  8. Micromousethe maze race of the micromice • Design and build a robotic “mouse” to reach the center of a maze as fast as it can • Learn to work with microcontrollers, C programming, circuit design, sensors and more • Status Update

Natcar • Design and build an autonomous car that can navigate by itself around any given track. • Natcar looks at simple sensors to provide directional feedback to the car and implements predictive acceleration and deceleration to complete the track in as short a time as possible. Circuit design, control theory, microcontroller programming • Status Update

  10. Robomagellan • Build and design an autonomous robot to conquer great outdoors! • Robomagellan uses a combination of its sensory capabilities including GPS, machine vision, optical sensors, and ultrasound sensors to navigate around the obstacles • Status Update

Become an Officer • Outreach Chair • Spearhead our community involvement initiative and inspire the next generation of engineers. • Social Chair • Throw fun events. • Technical Chair • Throw technical events (lab tours, soldering workshops …). • Treasurer • Manage IEEE’s finances and track where the money is going in + out. • Secretary • Develop organizational skills and keep all of your fellow teammates updated on our weekly meetings. • Publicity • Get the word out about all the amazing stuff we do. • Webmaster • Responsible for the design and function of the website. Manage the server • Historian • Responsible for the content of the website. • TESC Representative • Attend weekly TESC meetings and keep your fellow officers up-to-date.
