In this project, two Linx EVM-915-250 transceivers were used with evaluation boards for communication testing. A 4V input supply was provided, and an arbitrary analog pulse (square wave) was generated as input. Initial results showed periodic signals but not square waves. Raspberry Pi will be used for digital signal creation in the next step. Research on Raspberry Pi with LCD screen is planned for better user device integration. By leveraging Raspberry Pi tutorials, a complete interface with the transceivers will be developed. This choice is based on existing knowledge and cost-effectiveness. The ADAFruit 1115 Blue + White 16x2 LCD + Keypad Kit is a potential hardware solution.

Transceiver Communication • Used two Linx EVM-915-250 transceivers with evaluation boards with breadboard to attempt communication between the two devices 1 2 3 24 3 1 2 24
Transceiver Communication • Fed 4V input supply to Vcc • Created arbitrary analog pulse (square wave) on function generator as input to transmitting transceiver • Checked receiving end to observe signal
Initial Results • Function generated signal seen to be fed through receiving input of one transceiver • Output of same transceiver showed periodic but non-square wave signal • Input of second transceiver showing same periodic signal • Thoughts: Square wave signal was not being sent properly; need to try to use Raspberry Pi to create digital signal to send • May require more complicated circuitry
Next Step • Use Raspberry Pi tutorials to allow for complete interface with transceiver/understanding of implementation • Research Raspberry Pi with LCD screen as possible solution to user device • Reasoning: Using Raspberry Pi with testing implies knowledge and experience already gained – makes sense to continue using in final product • Also fairly cheap and looks appealing at first glance
