  2. Website translation differs greatly from service to service. Although there are a few websites that are less than reputable, there are many that are actually professional and can help you translate your work in the best way possible. Today we live in a bilingual culture. There are many times when you may need to have something in both Spanish and English, and there are several occasions when things have to be in three or four languages even.

  3. The ability to translate things in multiple languages seems simple, especially when you have to only translate a phrase or two, but when things are extremely longer, and require a more professional touch then you need a much more professional website to handle things.

  4. The Importance of Translation • It can be really tempting to use a random website translation page to get some work done. For example one of the most popular websites is Google, which uses an incredibly complicated translation system. Unfortunately though even major websites such as Google and Yahoo still can only do a small amount of what an actual human translator can do. In fact, I have seen quite a few website translators, from the most advanced to some of the more casual that were unable to properly translate a few phrases. Of course these phrases weren’t the easiest to translate, but as a translator you have to be prepared to work with anything you are given, and that is true for both computer and humans.

Identifying Good Website Translations • I have had a lot of websites in my line of work, and a lot of them are offered in other languages or offer another webpage in a different language depending on what country you are from. • Unfortunately you would think that the translation would be easy, but that isn’t the case. Translating a major retail website can be a huge undertaking, and for a lot of people it can be too much. • It is important that the website is done in a way that keeps the professional quality and level of the work so that all potential customers will feel comfortable when visiting the site and can navigate through it easily.

  6. That isn’t always the case. I remember having some translations done for a few of my webpages, and getting several email complaints about how difficult it was to navigate from one webpage to another. People were uncertain of whether or not they made purchases, and in a lot of cases they weren’t sure what exactly it was that they were getting. They read a product description for one thing, but they saw something completely different in the picture. I was in a real bind, and financially this was taking a huge toll on my business so I had to find a professional alternative.
