Overview of QCF: Concepts, Policy, and Context for Vocational Qualifications Reform
The QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) is designed to enhance the recognition and accreditation of qualifications across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Central to a significant reform of vocational qualifications, the QCF aims to simplify the system for better understanding and accessibility. It focuses on making qualifications more relevant to employer needs while promoting flexibilities for learners. With an emphasis on raising skill levels within the workforce and society, the QCF supports a demand-led system that aligns with the Government's goal of becoming a world leader in skills by 2020.
