  2. Egypt is in north Africa. Not far from the Equator . It is close to the Mediterranean and the Red sea. Where Is EGYPT?

  3. The Great Sphinx of Giza is a half man half lion statue. Legend says that the Sphinx could talk and would always ask a riddle “ What has 4 legs in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 3 at night?” all who answered wrong were killed. Until once a man said “ A man, it crawls as a baby, walks as a boy and uses a stick as elderly.” The Sphinx replied “ correct” and killed itself. WHAT IS THE GREAT SPHINX OF GIZA?

  4. The Great Pyramid of Giza was made in honour of king Khufu. It is the oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The Great Pyramid’s ancient name is Khufu’s Horizon. The Great Pyramids co – ordinates are 29 58’45.03’N 31 08’03.69’E. The Great Pyramid is a true pyramid. The Great Pyramid is 146.5 metres high ( 481ft ). what is the Great pyramid of Giza?

  5. Most peasants worked as slaves ( women ) or soldiers ( men ). Slaves were paid in radishes and garlic. If you were building a pyramid and not working hard enough you would be beaten with whips. Pharaohs would be buried with dead slaves to help them in the afterlife. Egyptians used to just wrap dead pharaohs in cloth and leave them to rot. ( Nasty surprise if you were stealing riches ). It was chefs that taught them mummifying. Pharaohs to peasants

  6. Valley of the kings contains 63 tombs. The valley is famous for the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb. ( Rumours about curse of the pharaoh ). The royal tombs are decorated with scenes of Egyptian mythology. Almost all of the tombs have been robbed. In 1979 it became a World Heritage site. Valley of the kings, Luxor
