Cause and Effect • Global challenges have a CAUSE and EFFECT • This means that they are caused by varies things and the effects are different as well. • Ex: To go to the university Cause:Effect Have good grades, Be smarter and wiser. Do well on the SAT/ACT. Have a good job. Be involved in activities. Have a stable life. Personal essay. More opportunities.

Poverty • It is a global challenge that has a lot of causes and a large amount of effects. • The definition of poverty depends on time and space. • Depends on each person. • Poverty violates numerous human rights and it affects some groups more than others. • It affects some regions more than others.

  7. Different Types of Poverty • Absolute poverty: People that do not have access to basics like food and housing.

  8. Different Types of Poverty • Relative Poverty: Every poor persons is different depending where they are (location). It is not the same to be poor in Africa than it is in the Unites States.

  9. Different Types of Poverty • Educational Poverty: People that do not have access to basic and superior education which makes it impossible to have access to adequate jobs.

  10. Different Types of Poverty • Services Poverty: People that live in regions that lack public services like drinking water and electricity.
