  1. Thanks for taking the time to view our presentation

  2. We are all very lucky to live on the beautiful Central Coast

  3. But each year the Central Coast loses some of their mostvaluable possessions

  4. No, it’s not our beachesor our rainforests

  5. nor is it our carsour houses or our way of life.

  6. It’s our YOUNG PEOPLE

  7. Over the last 6 years on the Central Coast 33 young people have taken their own lives

  8. In fact in Australia we lost more than 2800 young people aged between 15 and 24 in the same period

  9. Sadly we can’t turn back the clock

  10. But the thing is, this doesn't have to happen

  11. If we can help these young people early enough we can reduce the number of kids that make this fatal decision

  12. So in 2011our clubdecided to do something about it

  13. The Club launched a program called

  14. SaveOur Kids fromSuicide

  15. In 2012 we contributed $15,000 to Lifeline to support an awareness program in schoolsfor Youth Suicide Prevention

  16. This involves teaching year 11 students, their parents, and teachers to identify other young people who may be contemplating taking their own lives

  17. This program will also help reduce the incidence of bullying, both physically and online, which is one of the main causes for the loss of self esteem in young people.

  18. This was a good startso now we’ve decided to get serious.

  19. But for us to make a real impact on saving these kids We need the help of the greater community

  20. So we have formed theG.N.R.(Gosford North Rotary)BenefactorsClub

  21. We have different levels of annual membership ranging from$500To $10,000

  22. What will you receive if you join us? Depending on the level of your sponsorship, you will be given * A prestigious plaque * Tickets to the Benefactors & Beneficiaries Dinner * Advertising on the Club Website and Bulletin * Address our members on your business at one of our club meetings * Your contribution will be highlighted at the B & B dinner

  23. With your support we hope to not only continue to help young people in trouble, but to reward other young adults to achieve greater heights. These can include: * Scholarships*Youth awards*Training camps* MentoringSo now you have the choice as to which program you wish to support.

  24. But mainly you’ll get the satisfaction of helping save the lives of kids on the Central Coast

  25. Towards the end of the financial year we will hold the GNR Benefactors and Beneficiaries Dinner

  26. where you will be honored for your contribution, and get to meet the beneficiaries of your kind sponsorship.

  27. At the end of the day there's a little saying we believe in……."It's not what happens, cause it happens now and then, it's what we do about it, that’s important in the end."
