  2. summary In the book The Great Kapok Tree. These men were in the rain forest with gigantic trees and tranquil birds. The men wanted to cut down The Great Kapok Tree but the man fell asleep. While he was asleep the animals of the glamorous rain forest spoke to him. They gave fantastic reasons why not to cut down The Great Kapok Tree. One of the reasons came from a porcipine he said,” senyor do you know what we humans and animals need in order to live? oxegyn. And, senyor, do you know what trees produce? Oxegyn If you cut them down the rain forest you will destroywhich gives us all life.”I rate this book 10 of 10 stars because they realy showed amotions and feelings. They showed texture too.

  3. Ijust read two amazing books . Called Our Tree Named Steve and The Great Kapok Tree. In the book Our Tree Named Steve the kids cared about the tree and didn’t want it to be bulldozed away. In The Great Kapok Tree the tree is cared and loved by lots of animals. They protected the tree and wanted to poursuade the man not to cut it down. Also in the book Our Tree Named Steve the kids loved the tree was loved by the children. Because it was third base, a target, swing set , and a jump rope holder. In The Great Kapok Tree the animals loved the tree. Because it gave them a home, shelter, and protection. This is my connection. Text-to-text connection

  4. Text- to- self connection In the book The Great Kapok Tree the animals cared and loved the tree. They loved it because it was home and shelter to the animals. Well you’d never guess how much fun it is to hatch velvety , colorful, and magnificent caterpillars. I take great care of them and try to keep my dogs from gobbling them up like frenchfries. I also give them a great habitat to grow into butterflies. I just gave them a bigger habitat too. There is 16 caterpillars also some have made a cacoon. It went from gray to green. Also I like them to walk up my arm it sort of tickles. I think they tickle because of there sucktion cup feet. All but 2 have made a cacoon. Yet caterpillars are lazy I have to admit caterpillars are cool !!!

  5. text- to – world connecction In the book The Great Kapok Tree it takes place in a glamourous rain forest. In the world there are beautiful rainforests Also in the book The Great Kapok Tree the animals try to protect the tree. In the world we respect and try to protect the animals. Also that’s why we have laws to help protect. Because the rain forest can only be replaced if we plant and hope animals live there. Another thing is animals and plants have homes they might get desroyed. It also matters because climate change it will get very hot if we cut them down. So please care about trees and don’t cut them down. The End
