My previous tractor review was on the Solis S20, which is still my favorite in the compact tractor game because of its quiet ride and seamless performance. Today however, my Solis review will be on the S26, which can be seen as the refined and a more featured version of the S20. But my experience with the compact tractor has made me realize the individual potential of this efficient machine. So, this is my Solis tractor review of the S26 to help you make a smart buy with rewarding returns. Firstly, let’s talk about the engine on this compact tractor. Featuring a 26HP, 3-cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engine, S26 is a powerful machine that scores well in fuel efficiency as well. Other than that, what’s notable is that this compact tractor comes with a roll-bar to protect the operator in case the tractor rolls over. While most of the tractor accidents occur due to rolling over, most tractor companies do not offer any ROPS (Roll-Over Protection System) with their compact tractors. Also, this roll-bar comes with a safety light attached to its top. Another important feature on a tractor is the hitch. S26 comes with a 3- Point CAT-2 type hitch which is the current standard of the industry. The compact tractor is powerful enough to cultivate any small farm on any terrain with ease and perfection. While I have tried many professional farming implements with my tractor, I would suggest going with the implements that are well paired with the compact tractor. What’s best is to go for parts manufactured by Solis itself as they are specifically made considering the dimensions of the compact tractor. Not all the tractors come with the option for a front-end-loader, and those who do are way more expensive than most new tractors. With a lifting capacity of 500 Kg, this add -on will increase not only your tractors but your potential to take up new projects as well. Even if you don’t have any need for a front-end-loader but you have the budget for it, I would suggest opting for it. Also, buyer has the option to choose from the regular, agricultural, or, industrial tires. You can select among these three depending on the terrain of your field. I choose the agriculture tires as their added grip allows me off-road with my compact tractor. What also noticeable are its disc brakes that allow user a better control over the machine. Also, coupled with the power-handing, operating this tractor feels more like a joyride than work. In an overview of my Solis review, Solis S26 is relatively better than its less-featured brother S20. But do these features suffice for the added cost in comparison to S20. It definitely does, and what gives it this win are features such as power-handling, disc-braking, and 4-wheel drive. So, if you’d like your compact tractor to perform both on and off the field, I would suggest going with Solis S26.
