  1. Some Important Things One Must Be Aware of During Nose Piercing

  2. People with piercings of the nose look great. Piercing their nose, however, is not necessarily secure and clean. Many things can go wrong like a keloid lump forming on the nose, or they may end up swallowing the golden pin as it loosens and drops into their gullet.  Nose piercing is common people piercing their nose for traditional reasons and sometimes the noses chosen to reach nostrils, septum, and bridge remain fashionable common areas. Regardless of which area people choose to pierce, one thing they should never forget is that there's always a healing time associated with each piercing and it varies for each place. Similar to how the healing time varies for each piercing site, the location-specific risks associated with nasal piercing, too. One of the most common questions that arise in everyone’s mind is “Can a Nose Piercing Cause Sinus Problems?” Some nasal piercing hazards may be common to all three locations.

  3.  Let’s have a look at the following:  Infection: Nose piercings can cause infections; nasal piercing infections need aggressive antibiotic treatments to combat the species Staphylococcus, commonly found in the nasal mucosa. Bacteria, which line their nose inside, can cause infection. In addition, it may get into the bloodstream viruses like HIV, hepatitis B or C, or tetanus from improperly sterilized equipment. Swallowing jewellery, aspiration, and immigration: swallowing jewellery and aspiration mainly takes place when the nose and septum are pierced. Jewellery used in nasal piercings may be swallowed or aspired through the nasal cavity or may migrate from its original position forward. Furthermore, another problem associated with nasal jewellery is that it can be removed to make the jewel embedded in the nose wall, which can only be removed by surgery.

  4. Wall of nasal necrosis: One of the most common noses piercing related problems is nasal wall necrosis. Necrosis means the scattered death of living cells, and nasal piercings cause necrosis in both lateral walls of the nose. Nasal wall of perichondritis: Nasal piercings put people at risk from nasal wall perichondritis. Perichondritis is considered a broad membrane of the connective tissue around the majority of the body cartilage, and perichondritis is at risk for inflammation in the nose. Septal hematoma formation:Nasal piercing can cause a septal hematoma, causing bleeding or bleeding in the septum. The septum is the layer that separates the two nostrils from the skin and cartilage. Signs of a hematoma usually include nasal congestion, breathing difficulty and painful swelling.
