  13. 6 Days earlier, on August 22, 1992, maximum concentrations of afternoon Ozone and daily PM-10 and Sulfate were centered in the Midwestern US

  14. Windsor Fine Particle Mass and Sulfate (blue) Toronto at 4 Canadian Sites on August 23 - 27, 1992 Montreal Data Provided by: Jeff Brook, AES Environment Canada Kejimkujik

  15. Keji Montreal Toronto Windsor HY-SPLIT / NGM Trajectories arriving at 3 PM on the following dates for 4 sites: Red - Windsor 8/23/92 Pink - Toronto 8/24/92 Green - Montreal 8/25/92 Yellow - Keji 8/26/92

  16. Keji Montreal Toronto Windsor HY-SPLIT / NGM Trajectories arriving at 3 PM at the following sites on 08/27/92: Windsor, Ont. Purple Toronto, Ont. Lt. Purple Montreal, Que. Red Kejimkujik, N.S. Green

  17. NEPART Fine Particle Mass, Sulfate and "Acidity" on 8/28/92 with Air Mass Histories from the CAPITA Monte Carlo Model

  18. Conclusions • We Examined 3 Episodes of Transboundary Pollution Transport • Assumed We Understood These Episodes in Advance • Assumed it would be Easy To Merge US & Canadian Data Both Assumptions Were Wrong! We Efficiently Exchange Air Pollution Across our Border, Where it is Merged with Local Source Influences, but is Too Often Unobserved, Undocumented, and Uncontrolled We Need More Efficient Mechanisms to Exchange and Merge our Collective Air Quality Data!
