Evaluating Network Survivability Metrics in Multi-Domain Generalized MPLS Networks

This document presents a comprehensive evaluation of network survivability metrics critical for Multi-Domain Generalized MPLS Networks. It outlines the importance of fault management, including phases such as detection, localization, isolation, notification, recovery, and reversion. Emphasis is placed on minimizing recovery time through optimized methodologies in fault management and recovery processes. Insights on single and multi-domain scenarios highlight delays associated with fault localization and notification signals. Proposed protocol extensions to enhance survivability are also discussed.
