THE ENJOINING GOOD AND FORBIDDING EVIL. كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah.

THE ENJOINING GOOD AND FORBIDDING EVIL كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. (Qur’an 3:110)

  2. UNIVERSALITY OF ISLAM Universal GOD First Chapter of Quran starts with the verse الْحَمْدُ للّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds. Quran ends with the verse: إِلَهِ النَّاسِمَلِكِ النَّاسِقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind. The King (or Ruler) of Mankind. The Allah (for judge) of Mankind (Qur’an 114:1-3)

UNIVERSALITY OF ISLAM Universal Book يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاء لِّمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy. (Qur’an 10:57 ) شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind. (Qur’an 2:185)

UNIVERSALITY OF ISLAM Universal Messenger وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلا كَافَّةً لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لا يَعْلَمُونَ We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not. (Qur’an 34:28)

  5. THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Be Sincere in Dawah; • It is for the sake of Allah. Don’t spoil your intention by bragging. • Don’t praise yourself. Your rewards come from Allah. • Understand your Goals in Dawa; • Present Islam to minimize corruption in the land hold reformation of the world as your ultimate goal. • Realize that the Mission is to worship Allah & the Vision is to reach JANNAH and see ALLAH. • Trust fully that Success comes from Allah.

THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Have the characteristics of the Mujahid; • Clothe yourself with the dress of the Mujahid. • Know that Dawa is a battlefield with Satan, shirk andkufr. • Seek the right knowledge to gain insight and wisdom (the most difficult thing to gain). • Have reasonable expectations. Don’t expectperfection as everyone has his own shortcomings.

  7. THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Don’t despair of the mercy of Allah. Some peopleare always negative in their thinking. • “This man is a hopeless case this fellow is a waste of time and efforts.” We should be positive. Issuing judgment is the final thing. • Foster a positive attitude. • Remember prophets and their impacton the people. • Don’t belittle yourself. Do your best. Guidance is from Allah andthe results are in the hands of Allah.

  8. THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Live with the people and bear them. • Supplicate. • Balance in Dawa by combining both fear & hope. • Show tolerance and patience. • Choose the right words.

THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Act to speak louder than words. • Choose time and place. • Don’t attack specific people or generalize. • TheMuslim is not indecent, and he does not have a foul mouth. • What is wrong with people? • Present Islam. • Grab opportunities and treasures for the day of judgment.

  10. THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Do not be frustrated from the corruption around us. “You will find few of my servants obedient.” • The daee should live the real life of people and be very near to them and bear their harms. • You need to retreat and be with yourself for a while.

  11. THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Be gradual in Dawa. • Don’t exaggerate the sin when you talk to people and be priority conscious. • There is no sin greater than disbelief. • Substantiate and quote the right information. • Show genuine feeling, care and concern by listening attentively.

THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Be tactful, tender and gentle. • Respect people and their status. • Speak to individuals according to their own mentality and status. • Be aware of what is happening around you. • Don’t project yourself by belittling others. • Some people always criticize others to raise their status. • Don’t point fingers.

THE ART OF CONVEYING THE MESSAGE • Participate with people in their happy and sad moments. • Appear nice. • Concentrate on one issue at a time. • Don’t overburden people by talking about many subjects at the same time. • Hold yourself accountable while presenting. • Perform more acts of worship to be closer to Allah. • The closer you are to Allah, the more your supplications will be accepted and you will be accepted.
