Motivation • Social and cultural changes, changes in the world of work and organizations. • Importance and influence of the new information and communication technologies (ICT). • Social and WOP psychologist need to understand: • The multiple attitudes - perceptions - interpretations of the roles of ICT in our society and in our lives. • The specific psychosocial issues related to ICT and cyberculture. • The role of psychologists who will be dealing with these issues in different contexts. Objectives • To analyze the role of ICT in the changing context of the world of work and organizations. • To describe different perspectives / views / metaphors related to these changes, namely: the post-industrial society, the information / network society, the postmodern society and cyberculture. • To describe different psychosocial aspects related to ICT, according to the studies of Internet Psychology or Cyberpsychology. • To discuss the implications and applications of these ideas to WOP psychology.
