  2. FEA / RTA Pre-design Analysis Design Solution Category Recommendation Intervention Selection MediaSelection • Identifies: • Accomplishment / Jobs / Tasks • Factors of Performance Influence • Root Causes of Performance Problems • Probable Solution Categories based on performance influence factors. For Skill and Knowledge Gaps Job Aid Job Aid w/ Intro Job Aid w/ Extensive Training

  3. FEA / RTA Pre-design Analysis Design Solution Category Recommendation InterventionSelection MediaSelection • Does not identify: • Solution concept • Specific method (resident, non-resident, digital, paper, etc..) • Detailed requirements definition • Specific media requirements

  4. FEA / RTA Pre-design Analysis Design Solution Category Recommendation Intervention Selection MediaSelection • Should identify: • Solution concept • Specific method (resident, non-resident, digital, paper, etc..) • Detailed requirements definition • General packaging and implementation patterns We have a rough “how to” for this output. It depends on a lot of things. We don’t have a strong process for framing rationale for method selection. We do this very poorly, presumably because we don’t consistently and intentionally apply pre-design analysis processes.

  5. FEA / RTA Pre-design Analysis Design Solution Category Recommendation Intervention Selection MediaSelection • Does not identify: • Specific per-goal, per-objective and per-activity media treatments.
