Partnering with the Defense Acquisition Universityas an Equivalent ProviderFundamental Process Flow Overview PHASE I: Equivalent Provider Application Process DAU reviews ACE recommendation and approves/disapproves the applicant New Provider completes the Equivalent Provider Application (EPA) and submits to the American Council on Education (ACE) for Review ACE reviews and provides a recommendation of approval/disapproval to the applicant and DAU NO END YES PHASE II: Equivalent Product Review Process Provider completes the Equivalent Product Review Request (RR), Information Question (IQ) and Crosswalk (CR) (EPA) and submits to the American Council on Education (ACE) for Review DAU reviews ACE recommendation and approves/disapproves the equivalent product ACE reviews and provides a recommendation of approval/disapproval to the applicant and DAU NO END YES Provider delivers DAU endorsed product

Partnering with the Defense Acquisition UniversityEquivalent Provider Application (EPA) ProcessPhase I - Details Provider contacts the American Council on Education (ACE) for a fee quote to determine acceptance Using EPA & MOU templates, provider prepares EPA and MOU per EPA Guide Provider acquires the equivalency forms on the DAU website, reviews , Equivalent Provider Application (EPA) Guide and Memorandum of Instruction Provider signs MOU and forwards to DAU per EPA Guide DAU establishes a DAU Blackboard Account for Provider YES NO Payment coordinated per ACE instructions END DAU reviews ACE recommendation DAU approves applicant Per EPA Guide, provider populates Blackboard with EPA and supporting documentation then sends an email notice to ACE and DAU ACE reviews standards outlined in DAU Directive 708 and provides a recommendation of approval/disapproval to the applicant and DAU DAU signs MOU, notifies provider of approval YES Provider now eligible to submit for equivalency review NO END – DAU notifies provider of disapproval. Provider may resubmit after 12 months

Partnering with the Defense Acquisition UniversityEquivalent Product Review ProcessPhase II - Details Provider contacts the American Council on Education (ACE) for a fee quote and determines acceptable Using RR & IQ and CR templates, provider prepares RR per guide & crosswalk instructions Provider organizes RR, IQ & CR with supporting documentation on DAU Blackboard per instructions Provider acquires the equivalency forms on the DAU website, reviews , Equivalent Product Review Request (RR), Information & Questionnaire (IQ) Guide and Crosswalk (CR) instructions YES NO Payment coordinated per ACE instructions END ACE reviews, applies standards outlined in DAU directive 708 and recommends approval to the applicant and DAU DAU reviews ACE recommend-ation & approves equivalent product DAU prepares equivalency certificate, notifies provider, updates DAU website & notifies DAU course managers Provider sends email with RR attached to ACE and DAU per instructions YES Provider delivers DAU endorsed product YES NO Providers becomes compliant NO ACE works with Provider to correct deficiencies END
