1. Kingdom of Bahrain Ministry of education Al-noor Secondary girls school Life in the city and life in the village

2. Life in the city differs than life in the village and some of people prefer living in the cities while the other prefer living in village and there are advantages and disadvantages for both and I will discuss it in this topic . First I will mention the advantages for both then I will mention the disadvantages .

3. Advantages for living in the city : 1- Network of transport is available in the city a lot . 2- A lot of economic opportunities is available also in the city so your work will be near to your home . 3- The schools and hospitals is dearly available in the city . 4- There are a lot of places to visit and spend your time in it in the city such as ; malls , cinemas, theatres, museums , restaurants , etc. 5- In the city you have enormous department store nearby to your house so you can do the shopping very quickly.

4. Advantages for living in the village : 1- No pollution and no noise in the village . 2- The air is pure and healthy . 3- Life in the village is less stressful than life in the city . 4- You can do some exercises in the village such as walking and cycling in the fields .

5. Disadvantages for living in city : 1- There a lot of noise in the city . 2- The air in the city is noxious by health because there are a lot of factories . 3- There are traffic jam all the times . 4- There are pollution because of car’s smoke . 5- The crime rate in cities is very high.

6. Disadvantages for living in village : 1- job opportunities in the village are less than in the city and it’s far of the village . 2- The shops in the village are few . 3- No enough schools in the village . 4- No enough hospitals in the village so people who live in the village have to go to the city to the hospitals there and this take a long time .

7. My Village I live in A’ali and it’s a village in Bahrain; it’s famous for making pottery and it’s a big village . There are many restaurants , gardens , schools , supermarkets , and they are now building a mall here. I love my country very much because I live with my family and my friends in it and it’s the place where I grew and I don’t want to leave it in the future. People in my country are lovely and friendly and each one helps his neighbors and the others so they are co-operative and they are sharing with the other in their happiness and sadness and they visit each other from time to time . That’s every thing about my village and I think it will be living in a city in the future because of its features .

9. People's opinion about living in the city and living in the village 1- I prefer big cities. The largest city. 2- I was born in the countryside in a small community and loved it. I've disliked city life ever since my family moved back to London. I prefer villages for daily life, and cities for adventure and night's out . 3- I prefer to live in a city because i think that life in a city is always more exciting and more comfortable than life in a country or in a small town. 4- I've lived in both. Both have their up & down sides ... but I prefer city. 5- I prefer living in the village because in the city there are homeless people dying on the streets and no where quite to relax.
