  2. App Synopsis For the SoundClash Festival, this app is made for people who is interesting to go there and looking for company. Since they have similar interest, they would have more topic to talk to. Also the navigation system is convenience for people see if they live just around the corner or really far away, so they can decide whether they want come out for dating through the long journey or not. After enter the app, the first thing you will see is “May I turn on your navigation?” After you press yes, the map comes out and shows in 10km how many users is also using this app, you can change the range from settings.

  3. App Synopsis Then you can browsing match to decide who you like to interactive with. Then if the person likes you, it will become a match, they can chat by sending messages, if it goes well, and they can share their locations to each other or set a date in Festival.

Right now 42% of online adults use multiple social networking sites, lots of people do have facebook account. Surprisingly, facebook users are decreasing, most facebook users are student, after they graduate, they are more into visualize appealing apps and can easy manipulating from a smart phone like Instagram, twitter, tinder. They are used to the simple but colourful interface. So we are focusing on adults, single, want to be dating.

  5. Results of Ethnographic Study Holism People prefer more visualize stuffs, not reading, so we only provide them simple but clearly information. When people using Tinder, they are not easy to get matches, even they get matches, they don’t really message them because the message section doesn’t feels matter, people also feels afraid to be the one break the ice first. I did try tinder, and I lower my expect ion and found about 7 matches, after about 24 hours, only one match give me a message. And it’s not good that shows they got same friend that might scare people off.

Also people feel confusing when the app is not responding anything that being stuck in the same page, so I would make sure if it’s loading, it will have a loading page and shows it is in progressing. This app is made for people want find a way to contact with outside and chat to people, find more common topic, also find out the possibility if they can get together.

  7. Results of Ethnographic Study Point of View: People like using dating apps like tinder, but it requires ios 7, so other people are using POF or something more text based. They are curious of other people’s information, how they looks and their life status. By tracking those information from the social network, they can decide should they hanging out with those peoples or not.

Navigation how many people are interested in joining the music festival and already have the app. Navigation how far between other users. Encyclopaedic: Match list, setting to change the range of the navigation(default range would be show users in 10km range), message box that has every message saved up inside. Procedural: Match people that like each other, take the second look of the match, and pick any match you are interested in to give respond. Participatory: Send message to your match one, and get respond. Share the distance between the matches see if they can get together easily.

Current App perception: “I feels like to use something simple, that you wouldn’t need to answer tons of questions or verify your account for a thousand times, I like to keep it simple and easily to control it.” “If I saw somebody I am interested in, I would want to go out with her, I am not afraid to ask her if she want go out with me, but I still feels hurts if she said no.” “I like music, got lots favourite artists, like to shaking my hips with the right girl when nice song plays, couldn’t help it. Music is in my blood, and chasing girls is my instinct.”

Persona Needs: App that expand social hub, get more friends that have same hobby with user and navigated people if they are interested in go to music festival so if they matches, they can meet at there or elsewhere. Detail instruction on how to use products and how does the product look on person. A trusted source: information she can trust about the products. Simple control and operation. Goals: Find how many people is going to this festival near the user, find if there’s any girls that user likes, and find out if the girl likes the user. If they matches, then start social with the girl.

  12. Scenarios User’s experience: A late night and Jenny still couldn’t sleep. She is listening music on YouTube and feeling bored and lonely. She is hoping to chat with someone, but god knows she got nobody. So she opens her phone, browsing at app store and try to find nice app to get through the night. After a while, she found this app and download it. She want to know if people around her is using this app, so she can talk to someone who is still awake just like her. She want to know if other people like her or not, if not, she wouldn’t want bother them, also wasting her own times. She want to know if the person lives near her, because she got no car and it would be too much for her to travel by bus in a long hour to visit someone new. She is also interested into music.

  13. Scenarios Where they are located and how they will use the App Jenny can located people by navigation her position to check if other people near her are online. Jenny can use match to see if other people like her or not, if they clicks they can start chatting. Jenny can ask that person give her his position, so they can discuss about meet in person or they can meet at festival. On default setting, the background music would be melody from the festival, she can check if she like those kind of music or not.
