Student Learning Outcomes (ouch!) • Know how to request a PWeb if you don’t have one • Find more information/instruction on PWeb • Login to thePWebediting tool • Create basic content on myhomepage.htm and navigation.htm • Delete template content • Add your name and contact information • Upload files (syllabus) to the Courses-Files list • Have the Pierce directory updated to include your site
Finding more Info/Instruction • http://faculty.piercecollege.edu/schamudp • Click on Pweb for faculty in Courses-Files List on left • Click on the TutorialLinks.html link near the bottom of the new list • Click on Returning Tutorial User • To see this PPT, click on Convocation.ppt
Login to Pweb Editing Tool • http://faculty.piercecollege.edu/pweb • Login = Network/email user id (portions of last name and initials) • Password = your Employee ID# (a few users may need to add a p or a zero)
PWeb Hands-on • Follow me as we log in and do the following: • Modify the myhomepage.htm file to include your name and contact info, and delete the template placeholders • Modify the navigation.htm file to include your name and contact information • Upload one or more files to your site • Review your work and see what it looks like
Updating the Pierce Directory • Send email to directory@piercecollege.edu • Include your full name and ask them to create the links to your Pweb page • Students can reach you at:Faculty.piercecollege.edu/networkNameExample: faculty.piercecollege.edu/schamudp • DO NOT PUT WWW in front of any of the links I have listed in this demo
