Remembering Lives Lost: A Tribute to Those Who Died in the Desert

In the summer of 2004, "To Those Who Have Died in the Desert" honors the memories of individuals who perished seeking refuge and peace. This poignant reading by PTS student Tyler Whipkey reflects on their lives and the desperate journeys many undertake. Accompanied by powerful photographs taken by PTS and BorderLinks participants, including Bill Hemm, Scott Murphy, Mindy McGarrah Sharp, Don Pittman, Nelson Torres, and Tyler Whipkey, this tribute sheds light on the human cost of borders and the ongoing struggle for the right to live in peace.
