Why do plants grow toward the light By. Justin Graves
A plant's ability to make food depends on its ability to absorb enough light energy
So, many plants move-in the small ways that they can-toward the Sun or other light sources (a characteristic known as phototropism)
In order to take in and get rid of the gases-carbon dioxide and oxygen-involved in food production, plants have thousands of microscopic openings called stomata on their leaves and stems.
