  5. The Trans –Atlantic Slave trade • The buying and selling of Africans for work in the Americas was part of a system of Triangular trade. • Africa provided slaves (labor) • Costal African leaders helped capture slaves

  17. Why did the South want to limit a slaves education? There was a fear that slaves would be able to organize another rebellion. It was Dangerous They would learn that they could be entitled to a better life. They are humans, not property
