  3. To start the process it has been decided in 2004 to defined the firsts term as follow: Yaovi Atohoun

  4. 2005 election process • Election for two seats per region • One primary • One alternate The alternate seat will be taken by the candidate who will have the second number of votes in a region • Regions: Indian Ocean and Central Yaovi Atohoun

  5. Election committee (ECOM) To conduct the Election process, an election committee was setup and composed of: 1 Member appointed by the board 2 Member volunteers from the community The Election members shall elect among themselves a Chair Yaovi Atohoun

The Election process timeline 02/16/2005: Call for volunteer to seat at the BEC 03/01/2005: Call for nomination and announcement of the BEC formation with member list 03/15/2005: Close of nomination period 03/18/2005: Nomination reviewed and confirmed by ECOM 03/29/2005: Public announcement of candidates per region; Opening of comments period Yaovi Atohoun

  9. Who can vote? a – any formal member of AfriNIC b – any already established LIR/ISP operating with ARIN or RIPE NCC and has signed AfriNIC RSA (reg-ID and Member ID required) c- Candidates for opened positions d- Proxy dully approved at least 24 hours by the CEO Yaovi Atohoun
