The unusual and distinctive organ part was played on a Hammond Solovox.

  3. Bill Russel Wins 6th Championship! Bill Russel, a 6’10, 220 pound center for the Boston Celtics, won his 6th championship ring, on April 24. His team beat the Los Angeles Lakers in 6 games. Russel also won the MVP award that year and made the all-NBA first team that year. It was another remarkable season in Russel’s career. “Concentration and mental toughness are the margins of victory”, stated Russel. Russel plans on winning more NBA championships and going on to be the first African-American coach in the NBA.

  4. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak “Where the Wild Things Are” is a children’s picture book written by Maurice Sendak. It tells the story of Max. In the story, he had a temper tandrum, and is sent to bed without supper by his mother. In his bedroom, a mysterious wild forest and sea grows out of his imagination. Then, Max wonders into the land, of where the wild things are. Maurice Sendak is from Brooklyn. He named the 4 monsters after his family members. At first, the book seemed negative reviews, but Children around the world loved the book. The book might possibly, be awarded with a Caldecott Medal award.

  5. John F Kennedy John F Kennedy is one of America’s greatest Presidents. He was America’s first Catholic President. He gave an amazing speech, and his call for Americans to serve their country has remained an inspiring and memorable appeal. He approached the Cuban Missile Crisis very well. Sadly, on November 22, He was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Many Americans regarded him as a great president that is beloved by many citizens. He will be surely missed.

  6. The Beverly Hillbillies Come eat at In-n-out! It’s quality, you can taste! The Beverly Hillbilles is a new commedy show. It is about a family who moved to beverly hills, California after striking oil on their land. It is #1 currently on the Nielson Rating. The show stars Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Donna Douglas, and Max Baer, Jr. After watching the show, I would say it’s a very funny show and it’s great and fun to watch. Come watch the Sword and the Stone! Premiere is Christmas Day.

  7. Being a Teenager in 1963 Being a teenager in 1963 would’ve been much different than today. The world was much more freer. You could walk the streets at night and very seldom had any trouble. Almost ot the dances had a name. People wore miniskirts and short shorts. Most families had 2 parents. A lot of the mothers did not work. For most teenagers, the Beatles would be an up—and-coming band that everyone expects to be popular. There was a lot of racial hatred. If you lived in the South, you would see lots or Civil Rights movement led by Martin Luther King Jr. Gasoline was a lot more cheaper because in 1963, it was only 29 cents. Other things such as a loaf of bread was a lot cheaper too because it cost only 22 cents at the time. The assassination of John F Kennedy would most likely shock you if you were interested in politics. It was also a year of where new things started. Zip codes were introduced in 1963. Some new movies are Cleopatra and To Kill a Mockingbird. Hurry up and get your fur boots while it’s on sale!
