LNG Receiving Terminal Project in Mugardos, Spain: Cryogenic Insulation Services

This project involved the installation of cryogenic insulation for the LNG Receiving Terminal in Mugardos, Spain, operated by Regasificadora del Noroeste S.A. Tractebel Gas Engineering was the client for this initiative. The scope included the delivery and installation of insulation capable of handling temperatures ranging from +180°C to -196°C, with a process temperature of -160°C. The terminal features a transfer capacity of 2 x 150,000 m³, and approximately 22,000 m² of insulation was cut on-site using a CNC-controlled machine. The project spanned from September 2005 to March 2007.
