  3. Why fund raise ? • It’s fun … or make it fun! • You have a good cause … • Promote AAFCS to new people • Money, of course!

  4. #1 Meeting fund raisers • Theme basket – you win, you bring it next time • Day at a spa – donated by the business • Diamond Drop raffle • Make it a fun activity for members and use the money for a specific project

  5. #2 Auctions Reinvented Clever Ways Your Ideas? We pay for good ideas! • Sell a deck of cards • Auction your services • Find donors • Plane ride with a local pilot • Pie-a-month

  6. # 3 You have Been FLOCKED? • Write a ransom note and explain your fund raiser. • Immediate payment needed to have them removed! • Donor gets to pick the next victim – who will it be? • Or pay to have them “not” show up in your yard!

  7. #4 Use a chef or plan a Cook-off Event Solicit local celebrities or chefs to enter their best dishes Sell tickets to your friends and neighbors Visibility for AAFCS!

  8. #5 Sit-a-thon • Offer babysitting services to the faculty & staff for a special university event • Use Facebook • Have a reason for the money!

  9. #6 Too many shoes? How Many Shoes Do You Have? Collect Money for shoes in your closet Flip Flops = 50¢ Casual = 75¢ Dress = $1 Boots = $1.50

  11. #8 Plan an excursion What would people like to do? • Shopping Trip • Winery Day Trip • Garden Tour • Holiday Homes • What Could You Offer?

  13. # 10 Offer Classes What can you Teach? Who wants to learn? • Bridge • Chinese Cooking • Wine Tasting • Wreath Making • $10/class or what ever your the market will allow!

  15. #12 Dinner/dessert events • Dinner for 6 - $5.00 tickets • Food prepared by members • Served in a member’s home • Winner chooses date and main course – beef, chicken or fish • Tickets sold at local event and through member sales • Raised nearly $900

  16. #13 Eat for a cause • Ask a local restaurant to donate 10% of their proceeds • Be sure all your friends eat out that day • Be the “wait staff”
