  1. By Joyce Cadwallader, Karen Lucci, Gigi Saunders Correlation of temperature and year = -.098 R square of Harvest Date and Temperature Anomaly = .971 HYPOTHESIS Plant phenological data can reveal global warming. • METHODS • Searched for databases. • Downloaded data from GLOBE, NOAA, National Phenological Network, • Worked separately on phenological data from lilacs, GLOBE green-up and green down, grape harvest. • Used Excel to edit data. • Explored Lilac data • Explored NOAA climate data • Explored GLOBE phenology data • Explored Grape Harvest: Loaded data into SPSS for analysis. Climate Changes Effects on Phenology NOAA Earth Systems Research Laboratory National Phenology Network LIMITATIONS and LESSONS LEARNED: Currently there are growing databases of citizen scientists beginning to amass phenological data but the formats and types of data vary greatly. Many papers have been published but accessing usable data proved difficult. CONCLUSION There is a strong relationship between increase in air temperature and data of grape harvest. However, the grape harvest data does not reveal global warming trends over the 633 year period.
