  2. What is e-marketing? • e-marketing= Internet marketing (iMarketing), digital marketing, web marketing, online marketing, search marketing • Basically, marketing products/services over the internet

  3. Marketing, advertising and PR are not equals • Marketing is the interdisciplinary umbrella advertising, public relations, direct marketing, sales promotion and direct selling

  7. Public relations • practice of managing the flow of information between an individual or an organization and the public

Public relations • aim : to persuade the public, investors, partners, employees, and other stakeholders to maintain a certain point of view about it, its leadership, products, or of political decisions. • Common activities: speaking at conferences, working with the press, social media and employee communication

Personal Selling • face-to-face communication, personal correspondence, or a personal telephone conversation. • more costly than advertising • used only when its high expenditure can be justified. • Example : sell sophisticated computer system may require the use of personal selling, while the introduction of a new product to millions of consumers would not
