The stamen has two parts: anthers and filaments. The anthers are a yellow, pouch-like part inside of the flower that holds pollen grains. The filament is a thread-like part of the flower that holds up the anthers. The Stamen NEXT
The pistil has four parts: stigma, style, ovary, and ovules. The stigma is the sticky surface at the top of a pistil that traps and holds the pollen. The style is the tube-like structure that holds up the stigma. The style leads down to the ovary that contains the ovules. Pollen tube is inside the style. The ovary is usually at the base of the flower and has seeds inside that turn into the fruit that we sometimes eat. The ovules are the part of the ovary that becomes the seed. The Pistil NEXT
