Centre for Functional Imaging Studies Le centre d’Etudes d’Imagerie fonctionnelle [Center for functional Imaging Studies (Cfis)] de l’Université d’Edinburgh étudie l’imagerie du fonctionnement du cerveau, et travaille en collaboration avec des groupes de recherches à Edinburgh et ailleurs. Nous nous intéressons à l’étude du fonctionnement du cerveau, en utilisant une technique d’imagerie cérébrale, l’Imagerie par Résonance Magnétique fonctionnelle (IRMf) [functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)]. En collaboration avec le Département de Linguistique de l’Université d’Edinburgh (Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics), le Cfis projette de mener une étude sur le traitement du langage. The Centre for Functional Imaging Studies at the University of Edinburgh undertakes and assists with imaging-based studies of brain function, working with research groups at Edinburgh and elsewhere. Our current focus is studies of cognitive function using non-invasive brain imaging techniques, i.e. functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). In collaboration with the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics the CFIS plans a study on spoken language processing LOOKING FOR: Female and male participants - FRENCH NATIVES - Aged between 20-40 - Strongly right-handed • Des participants hommes et femmes: • D’ORIGINE FRANÇAISE • Agés de 20 à 40 ans • - Fortement droitier ON RECHERCHE: To take part in an fMRI study of spoken language processing. Pour prendre part à cette étude IRMf sur le traitement du langage dans le cerveau. Testing will occur in July and August, 2003, at the Western General Hospital, sessions lasting about 90 minutes. Participation is remunerated with £15 and travel expenses. Les sessions de test auront lieu en juillet et août, 2003, à l’hôpital Western General, et dureront 90 minutes environ. Les participants seront rémunérés £15 et seront dédommagés de leurs frais de déplacement.
