UMD IT Planning - 2010 • Why an IT Plan? • History – Last plan written in 1994, 9 of 11 recommendations implemented • Direction – UMD mission and vision set the direction for IT Plan • Priorities - based on UMD Strategic Plan and linked to budget • Development of the IT Plan • Series of 4 (possibly 5) face-to-face meetings of the IT Planning Council • Email list for IT Planning Council itplan@umassd.edu • Parallel process conducted with the CITS staff • Timeline • Spring 2010 – draft the plan • Summer 2010 – submit draft plan to Chancellor and Vice Chancellors • Fall 2010 – launch to campus community IT Planning
