  7. Guidons • Authorized for Company, Battery and Troop size units • Display of silver bands and streamers are authorized in accordance with AR 600-8-22 • Guidons are accountable property and their retention by individuals is prohibited

  8. Description of Guidons • It is a swallow-tail unit marker, 20” hoist by 27” fly, the swallow-tail end forked 10”. • Fringe is not used guidons • Made of bunting cloth or nylon • Letters and numerals will read from left to right on each side of the guidon, they are 3 ½” high

  11. Numberd Army • Two horizontal stripes of equal width with WHITE above RED • In the center is the shoulder sleeve insignia of the applicable Army in proper colors, 15” high • Fringe is yellow

  13. Army Corps • Two horizontal stripes of equal width with BLUE above WHITE • In the center is the shoulder sleeve insignia of the applicable Corps in proper colors, 15” high • The fringe is yellow

  15. Divisions • Two horizontal stripes of equal width • The SSI centered in the middle in proper colors 15” high • Fringe is Yellow • The upper strip in all divisions is RED • The lower strip for Infantry and Airborne is National Flag BLUE • The lower strip for Armored and Cavalry is YELLOW

  17. Separate Brigades • Two vertical stripes of equal width • SSI or number of the Brigade is centered in proper colors, 15” high • Fringe is yellow • Color of strips for brigades is in AR 840-10 Table 5-2
