  2. Pulse rate is the health indicator of our body, it varies as per a person's physical and emotional status. In Ayurvedic system of a treatment a physician can easily diagnose the problems after checking the pulse rate. Examination of pulse tells the effect of purity ‘Vaidhya’ deeply analysis the root of the beats and ascertains the actual problem. The proper time of examining the beat is empty stomach in the morning. The pulse is tested around half inch distance away from the depth of the thumb. The male is tested by viewing the right hand while the female is tested with left hand.

  3. All the three fingers, index finger, middle finger and ring finger are kept on the pulse. The index finger is kept at the bottom of the thumb. On the pulse, pressure is mounted with the ends of the fingers equally and now the pulse rate pressure is experienced in which finger determines the kind of disease. If the pressure is more felt in index finger, it is the problem of ‘vata’ and that on middle finger is ‘pitta’ and the ring finger indicates problem of ‘kapha’.

  4. “The pace of the pulse also indicates the nature of the problem as if the pace is like the pace of a snake, it is ‘vata’ problem, if it is like frog, it is ‘pitta’ and when like a pigeon, it is ‘kapha’ problem. If it beats 30 times in regular process, means the disease is curable and if there is hurdle means if the patient is not treated properly, he may die. In fever, the pulse beat is little fast and warm while on the bout of anger or sexual arouse, it is too fast. When worried or feat, it is too slow. If the patient has weak digestive power or loss of metals, the pulse beat appears to be very quaint, while a person with good digestive power has high pulse rate.” – AcharyaBalkrishna

  5. An expert ‘Vaidhya’ can ascertain that whether the disease is incurable and could lead to the death or not, after viewing the pulse beats. If the beats are slow, weak and hard to observe, it means the victim is suffering with all the ‘doshas’ and could lead to the death. The person, whose pulse reverberates fast like a circular dish, intense and suddenly with lose frequency, the patient has incurable disease. If the beat is slow and cool, it means the patient has completed his age. • If the pace of the beat of the patient is like goose and the face appears happier, it means the person is healthy.
