  5. Primary Functionof the Ministry The posting of bereavement notifications, which informs e-mail recipients of transitions occurring within the families of God’s Called Servants.

  6. BEREAVEMENT NOTICES "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live"

  7. The process of verification precedes the posting of email notifications. • Communications are not always received as “neatly bound informational packages” containing service logistics with the necessary familycontact information.

  8. Telephone contact is made with mortuaries providing professional services to verify service arrangements for 90% of the notices posted. Purpose: To avoid posting incorrect or erroneous information.

  9. Email Alerts - Notices affecting the lives of the members of the AME Church are posted for the Commission Chair and the Director/Consultant of Social Action. - Upon request,notices are posted for Episcopal Districts affected by natural disasters. - Prayer requests and messages of gratitude are posted for the Episcopal families and for the immediate families of the General Officers.

  10. Additional Email Alert! - Bereavements occurring within the leadership of the Connectional Lay Organization are posted. - Statements of gratitude, are posted as a courtesy, for the immediate families of our Bishops, General Officers and Connectional heads who receive voluminous outpourings of expressions of sympathy when experiencing a family loss. - Upon request, notices are posted for the offices of the General Secretary/CIO and the Treasurer/CFO of the AME Church.

  11. Congratulatory Announcements Congratulatory announcements are posted each Friday that we might share the "Good News” of clergy family graduations, academic achievements, births, birthday celebrations-70 years and above, weddings, wedding anniversaries and noteworthy achievements.

  22. Ministry Mission and Mandate Aptly stated in a comment received from Supervisor, Rev. Dr. Jessica Ingram, “the ministry that you have created, developed and implemented for the connectional church is a tremendous blessing. It really does keep us connected as a church. It has drawn all of us closer together. May you continue to allow God to use you in this area.”
