  1. Why Buy a Full-Size Bed Selecting a new full-size mattress requires several points of consideration before you actually take the plunge and purchase a new piece of furniture, especially if you've been living in college dorm rooms. Dorm rooms usually feature either twin size mattresses or twin xl mattresses, which aren't great for all people. Specifically, you might find it interesting to know that even beds that fall within standard mattress dimensions can vary in size if you don't know all of your options. Standard mattress sizes, bed dimensions, and various space options can make the decision more complicated than it might seem at face value. If you're in the process of searching for a different mattress for your home, these are a few factors you may want to take into account before you make your decision. Full-Size Bed Dimensions Depending on your room size and your personal preference, it's up to you to determine if you have enough space for a full-size bed in the room you happen to be shopping for. A full-size bed is also referred to as a double bed- the terms are interchangeable. In either case, this is a popular mattress size that offers plenty of sleeping space and is large enough to be comfortable but not overly large in a way that limits its use in rooms of various sizes. A standard full size bed Dimensions are 54 inches wide and 75 inches tall. This might make it seem like an easy product to choose based simply on the size of the room where it will be placed. However, a full-size mattress is just the beginning of the bed. A headboard, a bedframe, and a footboard can both add extra length to the bed, which means you'll need extra space, whether you're shopping for your guest room or your master bedroom. Full-Size Bed Options Whether or not you need a little bit of extra space to be comfortable is another FAQ that might lead you to purchase a full XL bed rather than a standard double bed. A full XL bed is 54 inches wide and 80 inches tall, which gives 5 more inches to the length. This can make it a more comfortable option for taller individuals looking for a new mattress that will allow them to have a good night's sleep without waking up feeling cramped. A double mattress is a great option for a guest bedroom as it offers the option of being shared or your master bedroom if you want a bed large enough to feel luxurious but reasonably sized so as not to overwhelm a small bedroom. Typically a full-size mattress will be large enough for single sleepers to use comfortably but not so large that you feel like you get lost in the middle of it. And of course, your comfort largely depends on

  2. choosing the best mattress possible, whether that means a memory foam mattress or something firm to provide more support. A larger mattress and more legroom don't necessarily translate into better comfort. You have to consider the quality of your bed overall. But, when carefully considered, you'll find that the bed you choose will be both fit into your bedroom and be the perfect place to get a good night's sleep. Those who are accustomed to sleeping on bunk beds or twin beds in smaller rooms will feel as though they are living in the lap of luxury with a double bed. With a substantial amount of additional room, a full size mattress will make a huge difference from a twin size mattress or even twin xl beds. In addition, the single bed will provide people with the kind of additional leg room they need, without getting an XL bed such as a California King bed or even a regular king size mattress. Double beds are perfect for guest rooms and will give a single person much more comfort than a twin bed but will still be perfect for multiple guests. A full-size mattress can easily fit two people. So before you go out and buy a standard king for your master bedroom, consider a full size bed with an innerspring mattress or even memory foam to add a little bit of extra luxury. This is a larger mattress that will be perfect for multiple room sizes, especially if the room is too small for a queen-size bed. Single adults can be perfectly comfortable in a double bed. The same cannot be said for a standard twin bed. A twin bed gives very little personal space but a cal king size bed can be too much space! A full bed is often just right.
