CPUC Issues ImpactingLow Income Community • Climate Change Activities: Policy & Planning Division anticipates issuance in July 2008 of a proposed decision to: • Provide an emission allowance allocation methodology based upon the staff analysis of several potential methodologies; and • Determine the methodology for returning the proceeds from the auction of GHG emission allowances for the electricity sector that benefits electricity consumers in California in some manner: (1) investments in energy efficiency and renewable power and (2) affordable rates.

CPUC Issues ImpactingLow Income Community • California Solar Initiative for Affordable Housing • Issued RFP for statewide program manager on April 16, 2008.  The role of the Program Manager is to support the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Energy Division in implementing the CSI Single-Family Low-Income Program. Deadline for submission – May 28, 2008. • Solar Incentives for Multi- Family Low-Income HousingProposed decision anticipated during the third quarter of 2008.

CPUC Issues ImpactingLow Income Community • Digital Television (DTV) Transition • CPUC collaborated with the FCC to present a workshop on the transition from analog to digital television. • Message: Consumers with an analog TV can do one of the following: • Purchase converter box (discount coupons available. • Purchase a digital (NOT High Definition) TV • Subscribe to cable or satellite TV. • For more information: www.DTV.gov
