Context 5:1-4 5 To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Old Testament: Exodus 18 (Moses) The titles “elder” (presbyteros) and “overseer” (episkopos) are interchangeable. (Titus 1:5, 7) New Testament: Acts & Epistles Today’s Equivalent?
